Welcome to the ISNA High School Library and Resource Centre!!!

We are excited about our library project which, Inshallah, will be a useful and dynamic source of information for our students and community.  The main purpose of this library is to create strong school library programs that support student success by teaching students to read for breadth and understanding, research with purpose and process, build knowledge with insight and responsibility, and transform their knowledge into wisdom for a lifetime of learning.
None of this can be done without your support!!  Please contact us to find out how you can support our library initiative.

Research Made Easy

The ISNA High School Library site has been created as a guide for student research.  From this site, you will be able to access Britannica (see below), citation guides, and other links/documents of interest (see links below).

If you need to do research for your essays or projects, try the Mississauga Public Library if our own library doesn't have what you need. The subject guides created by the librarians there are very useful when starting a research topic.

Library Announcements

We are participating in the White Pine Award program!  Students are welcome to sign up in the library.
The White Pine Award™ is a provincial reading program for high school students sponsored by the Ontario Library Association. Students will read 10 nominated Canadian young adult books and then vote for their favourite book (they must read a minimum of 5 to be eligible to vote). Based on student voting across the province, the most popular book is then selected and author is honoured with the White Pine Award™.

Goals of the White Pine Award™ Reading Program:

• to promote reading for enjoyment among high school students
• to make students aware of quality Canadian young adult books
• to provide opportunities for students to discuss the nominated titles in an authentic manner
